Your Location for Airdrie Tooth Extractions

At Airdrie Springs Dental , there are several different reasons why we might recommend having a tooth pulled. Although we typically recommend keeping your natural teeth, it’s not always possible to do so. Some of the situations where it might be better to perform an extraction include:

  • Emergencies, Such As Broken Or Cracked Teeth After An Accident
  • Severe Periodontal (Gum) Disease
  • Impacted Wisdom Teeth
  • Limited Space Prior To Orthodontic Therapy
  • Advanced, Non-Restorable Tooth Decay

Replace Your Missing Tooth

When a tooth is pulled, it creates extra space inside of your mouth. This can lead to your other teeth moving or drifting from their current position. Even opposing teeth may start to drift out of their socket.

As such, it’s best to replace your missing tooth as quickly as possible. The best option is usually getting a dental implant, but other alternatives include bridges or partial dentures. The sooner you do so, the better! Just ask us which one is right for you; you might have more than one option.

Ensuring Your Comfort

During any dental extraction, we’ll provide local anesthetic to numb the area around your tooth. But you can always request dental sedation to help you relax even further. Options like nitrous oxide (laughing gas) can be added onto your regular visit, or we can book a deeper sedation appointment with oral or IV sedation.

Saving Your Smile

Instead of opting straight for a dental extraction, ask our Airdrie dentists if it is possible to salvage your natural tooth. It may be that a root canal, porcelain crown, or even a white filling can help you avoid a future oral surgery. The sooner you look after your smile, the better it will treat you!

I am extremely happy with my first couple appts here! The front staff are amazing and knowledgeable, and the dentist's are professional and friendly! Didn't feel a thing during my extraction, and everyone was very patient with my questions! I didn't just feel like "another patient", they treat people well here. I highly recommend this place!

I have always been nervous going in to the dentist however Dr.Thorsen and team has completely put me at ease! All of the staff there have been nothing but friendly and always addressed my concerns. The office staff are also very kind and always efficient. Being fairly new to Airdrie I would definitely recommend this dental business!

Went in today to get a check up. Service was excellent. All workers were seen following the new protocols that came with the covid situation. Facility is spotless and noticed that anything I touched was immediately cleaned prior to it being put away. Highly recommend

I’ve been going to Rommel as my dental hygienist for over 4 years, and very happy to say how highly I regard him! Great personality, genuine, warm and caring. He is meticulous and systematic, very careful and very thorough. He creates a climate of calmness and confidence, never flustered or impatient. A very likable, excellent in his field, guy! My dentist is Dr Ng, and ditto goes for him! How often can one say they look forward to their dental appointments - but I actually do!
